How to create videos with AI (step by step, 2026)

1. Go to https://kling.ai
2. Click Sign Up (top right).
3. You can sign up with your Google account or email.
4. Once inside, you’ll see the main panel with creation options: AI Video, AI Image, and other tools.

Kling automatically assigns you the free plan. Your available credits appear in the top right corner of the panel.

5. Click Generate and wait 1 to 3 minutes.

How to write a good video prompt:

• Describe the scene in the present tense: “A woman walks through a futuristic city at dawn.”
• Add the type of movement: “slow motion”, “gentle zoom toward the subject”, “aerial view”.
• Specify lighting or atmosphere: “golden light”, “soft fog”, “rain”.
• Mention the visual style if you want: “cinematic”, “3D animation”, “anime style”.

Example prompt:

“A woman walks through a neon-lit futuristic city at dawn, cinematic, slow motion, golden light reflecting on wet pavement.”

Image to Video mode takes a photo or illustration and animates it. It’s ideal for bringing portraits, landscapes, or illustrations to life.

1. In the main panel, select AI Video then Image to Video.
2. Click the upload area and upload your image (JPG, PNG or WebP, max 10 MB).
3. Write a description of the movement you want to see: “hair moves in the wind”, “camera slowly pulls back”, “leaves fall around the figure”.
4. Choose the duration and aspect ratio.
5. Click Generate.

Types of images that work well:

• Portraits with simple backgrounds
• Natural landscapes (sea, forest, city)
• Digital illustrations or AI-generated art

Once Kling finishes generating your video:

1. The video appears in your generations gallery. Click on it to watch it.
2. Click the download button (downward arrow icon) to save the MP4 file.
