2 Build your catalog with AI

Don’t take the AI’s prices blindly: they’re a reference. Compare them with what the real competition charges.

3 Generate product descriptions

This is where AI saves the most time. Instead of writing each listing by hand, you give it the data and it returns a description that sells:

Features: soy wax, 40 hours, coffee and vanilla scent
Customer: people who love the coffee ritual
Tone: warm and close. Include a short title, one paragraph
and 3 benefit bullets.

Repeat the prompt for each product (or paste the whole table and ask for them all at once). Review each one so it sounds like your brand and everything is true: AI sometimes over-embellishes.

4 Prepare the photos and images

The product photo sells as much as the text. Golden rule: real product, real photo (the customer buys what they see). AI comes in for everything around it:

Improve the background or remove distracting objects.
Create lifestyle scenes (your product in a nice setting) for social and banners.
Design the cover banner and the store logo.

Don’t invent product photos that don’t exist: if the real candle doesn’t look like the generated image, the customer feels cheated.

5 Upload everything and set up payments and shipping

With the catalog, descriptions and photos ready, the platform part is the most mechanical:

Create each product (paste the description and upload the photo).
Turn on a payment method (card, PayPal or whatever your platform offers).
Set up shipping: zones, costs and times. If you sell locally, offer pickup.
Write your “About”, “Shipping” and “Returns” pages. AI drafts them in minutes if you give it your terms.

Before announcing your store, make a test purchase yourself:

Add a product to the cart and go all the way to checkout.
Check that the price, shipping and taxes look right.
Confirm the confirmation email arrives.
Open it on your phone: most of your customers will buy from there.
