How to Clone Your Voice with AI (ElevenLabs, Step by Step)

1. Go to https://elevenlabs.io and click Sign Up.
2. Register with your email or with Google.
3. Confirm your email if prompted.
4. Once inside, you’ll see the main dashboard with the voice panel on the left.

To clone your voice you need a paid plan. If you still want to explore, the free plan lets you try voices from the catalog and generate a few sample audios.

The quality of your clone depends almost entirely on the quality of the audio you upload. Follow these guidelines:

For a good result:

• Record in a quiet place (no echo, no background noise).
• Speak with your natural voice at a normal pace: don’t fake another voice.
• Use a condenser microphone if you have one; headset microphones work too.
• Accepted formats: MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC.
• For Instant Clone: minimum 1 minute of clean audio (recommended: 3 to 5 minutes).
• For Professional Clone: between 30 minutes and 3 hours of varied recordings (different tones, paces, content).

What to record:

• Read an article out loud, narrate a story, or record a practice episode.
• Vary the tone a bit: some enthusiastic phrases, some calmer ones.
• Avoid throat clearing, long filler sounds, or prolonged silences in the middle.

1. In ElevenLabs’ left panel, click Voices (the microphone icon).
2. Click Add a new voice.
3. Choose the cloning type:
   • Instant Voice Clone: upload one or several audio files (drag or use the upload button). ElevenLabs analyzes the files and creates the clone in seconds.
   • Professional Voice Clone: follow the step-by-step wizard: you’ll read phrases on screen or upload your recordings. Training takes anywhere from a few minutes to several hours.
