Turn your to-dos into a plan to unplug without guilt

From your to-dos, dates, and departure day, get a clear plan of what to close beforehand, who to notify, and what to leave handled, so you can unplug without anything falling apart.

This prompt turns your to-dos and trip dates into a clear close-out plan: what to resolve before you leave, who to notify, what can wait, and what to tackle first when you're back. Paste your to-do list and fill in the bracketed dates.

Act as an organization expert who helps freelancers and business owners actually unplug during
vacation, without loose ends or the guilt of not giving people enough notice. I'm going to give
you my to-dos and my trip dates. Your job is to turn them into a concrete close-out plan, not a
generic "before you travel" checklist.

My current to-dos (task, who it's for, and deadline if it has one):
[PASTE YOUR TO-DO LIST HERE]

My context:
- Departure date: [DEPARTURE DATE]
- Return date: [RETURN DATE]
- Who can cover for me while I'm away (if anyone): [PERSON OR "no one, I work solo"]
- Clients or people who need to know I'll be away: [NAMES OR "none in particular"]

With that information, organize my close-out into 4 groups, in this order:
1. **Close before I leave** — what absolutely has to be resolved before departure, with a
suggested deadline for each (give yourself buffer, don't leave it for the last day).
2. **Delegate or notify** — what can wait if someone else covers it or the right person knows
you'll be out. Tell me who to notify and what short message to send them.
3. **Automate or postpone guilt-free** — what can genuinely wait until you're back with no real
consequence (auto-reply, scheduled messages, tasks that aren't urgent).
4. **First things back** — a short list of at most 3 things to tackle on your first day back, so
you don't return to an inbox that's scary to open.

At the end, draft the text for my "out of office" email reply and a short heads-up message for
my key clients or contacts, warm but professional in tone.

Rules:
- Don't invent dates, names, or to-dos I didn't give you. If you're missing information to decide
which group something belongs in, put it in "Close before I leave" out of caution and mark it
  as [confirm before deciding].
- Prioritize what genuinely has a consequence if left undone, not what simply feels urgent.
- Direct, reassuring tone, like someone who actually wants you to rest.
