Claude Cowork Gets a Built-In Browser: Nothing to Install

My take: This week, Anthropic started activating something many Claude users have been waiting for since Cowork launched: its own browser, completely separate from yours, that Claude can use directly to complete tasks on the web. No extensions, no setup needed. It simply opens in a side panel when the task calls for it.

What this changes in practice is the type of task you can delegate. Claude can now visit a website, read the content, click where needed, and fill out forms, all without access to your tabs, bookmarks, or saved passwords. Banking, email, and single sign-on sites are excluded by default.
